Several Severstal management and employees received government awards in the fields of science and technology.

Awards were received by Alexei Mordashov, head of Severstal group and ) and former Severstal employee Viktor Klochai, now general director of ZMZ (Zavolzhye Engine-Making Plant).

Anatoli Lunev, chief expert in continuous steel pouring, and Michael Filatov, chief engineer of the converter process, received government awards for development and introduction of a series of measures to increase production and quality of steel in the oxygen converter.

Government awards were handed by Vyacheslav Pozgalev, governor of Vologda region.
