OJSC Central Telegraph has made public the decision passed by an EGM on the appointment of its general director, who was elected by in absentia fax voting. The list of individuals eligible to take part in the vote was drawn up based on the shareholders' roster as of January 31, 2002. As reported previously, March 19, 2002 was the deadline for shareholders to receive ballot sheets.
Those eligible to vote at the EGM held a total of 106,673 votes, which constitutes 90.42% of the total number of the company's common (voting) shares. In addition, 99.09% of those in attendance voted in favor of the appointment, as proposed (i.e. 105,697 votes).
Thus, Vaagn A. Matrirosyan was appointed as the general director of OJSC Central Telegraph by an in absentia fax vote.
