Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, and Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region, today signed a 2015-2017 Protocol to the Cooperation Agreement between the oil company and the region. 

 As part of the protocol, LUKOIL will provide financial support for the implementation of social and cultural projects, as well as for the reconstruction and repair of sports and culture centers.

 Repairs of a culture-and-leisure center in the settlement of Liman and of a sports center in the settlement of Ilyinka will begin later this year with the company’s support.  LUKOIL will also organize a number of socially-minded events in the region, including the Astrakhan Fishing Festival.    

 The memorial “To Soldiers Fallen in Battle” will be renovated in Liman and Victory Boulevard will be reconstructed in Astrakhan to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the  Great Patriotic War.
