CHP-25 completes preparation for heating season

This year the maintenance campaign at the plant started in March from the overhaul of the peak water boiler no. 1. CHP's specialists carried out a full check of the boiler and eliminated all defects. In addition, a large amount of work has been done to replace a convective part of the boiler. As of today, the boiler is fully ready for winter operation in conditions of peak loads.

Presently, AO MOSENERGO's specialists have finished maintenance on power boilers no. 1 and no. 2 at CHP-25, as well as water boiler no. 9. In addition, some repairs were done at power units no. 3 and no. 6. In early August, the company started to overhaul power unit no. 4. All works at the power unit are expected to be over by October 17. The unit will be put into operation after it is tested.

This year as usual the company focused on the internal heating grid at the power plant. The company eliminated damages to heating lines, repaired grid pumps and cleaned boilers. As of today, the station's internal heating grid has been practically prepared for the heating season.

Before the winter, AO MOSENERGO plans to repair the external coating on cooling tower no.4. For the first time, the cooling tower will be repaired while staying in operation.

CHP-25 is a major power station in AO MOSENERGO's system. Its capacity reaches 1,370 MWt. The station provides power to industrial consumers and population in the Southern-Western district of Moscow.
