In 2017, power engineers of Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), will improve the quality and reliability of power supply to the consumers of Veselovka, a community located in Penza. According to the project, the power grids of 0.4–10 kV, totaling more than 37 km, will be modernized. In particular, power engineers will replace OHL 0.4–10 kV of intermediate, angular and anchor wooden supports with reinforced concrete ones, replacing the naked wire with self-carrying insulated wires (SIP), as well as insulators and line accessories. In addition, a 10 kV distribution station will be built at the center of 10 kV power cable lines from the major distribution center Tsvetochnaya 110/35/10 kV substation. Work on the modernization of grids is planned in ul. Merenyasheva, 6th Simferopolsky pereulok, ul. Sakharova, ul. Lvovskaya, ul. Ferganskaya, ul. Podolskaya, ul. Kurskaya, ul. Shkolnaya, ul. Permskya, ul. Chebysheva, proezd 40 let Oktyabrya and ul. Kondolskaya. The existing distribution grids, which provide power supply to the consumers of Veselovka community, were put into operation in 1968 and have now practically exhausted their life span. With the modernization of these power grid complex, the reliability of power supply to the consumers of the community will be significantly improved and the new applicants may be connected to the power receivers. In addition, as a result of modernization, the reliability of the reserve power supply to Krivozerye neighboring community will increase.
