Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman, has appointed Oleg Stepanenko as Director General of the Samaratransgaz company.
Mr. Stepanenko was born in 1961 in the Karnalinko village of the Grodno oblast (Byelorussia).
Mr. Stepanenko graduated from the Kuibyshev aviation institute in 1984. All his professional activity was devoted to the gas sector. O. Stepanenko started his professional carrier as an operator of gas-turbine units, then he became a shift engineer and, later on, a chief engineer of the Yagelnoye pipeline department at Tyumentransgaz.
From 1994 to 1997, O.Stepanenko worked as the Chief of Tyumentransgaz’s production department. In 1997–2001, he was the chief of the production and dispatch service and the deputy chief engineer of Tymentransgaz.
In 2001, Mr. Stepanenko was appointed the Deputy Director General in charge of compressor stations’ operation, First Deputy Director General of Samaratransgaz. In 2002, he was appointed Samaratransgaz’s Acting Director General.
