Agreements of Rosseti - Adygea: long-term tariff, consolidation and digitalization of power grids of the Republic for consumers' benefit

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019 (SPIEF 2019), Rosseti and the Republic of Adygea signed several agreements intended to improve the quality of electricity services for industrial and domestic consumers. Pavel Livinskiy, Rosseti CEO, and Murat Kumpilov, Head of the Republic of Adygea have signed the agreements.

The parties agreed to do the groundwork required to eliminate commercial losses of electricity transportation, minimize accidents in power grid complex, increase availability of network infrastructure, including investments of 5 billion rubles in the construction of high-voltage facilities and large-scale trainings of power engineers all over the South of Russia.

Pursuant to the signed documents, a long-term tariff will be set for Rosseti Kuban company managing the region's distribution networks, retaining the total amount of funds received through efficiency increase for at least 10 years. The government of the Republic of Adygea also plans to boost energy consumption in order to increase the revenue of the grid complex, thus enhancing investments in the energy infrastructure development.

In order to optimize the modernization and new construction programs in the electric power industry, it is planned to consolidate the power facilities currently owned by both the region and individual commercial structures based on Rosseti Kuban. Experience of other regions indicates that the transition to a single management can significantly improve production performance, reduce both capital and operating costs, and introduce advanced technologies.

The above-mentioned steps open wide opportunities for implementation of the Digital transformation 2030 concept adopted by the Rosseti group in the Republic of Adygea - this will help to achieve an unprecedented level of reliability, safety and quality of electricity supply to consumers, and most importantly, provide conditions for expansion of existing production facilities and launch of new ones which will create additional jobs in the region.

"The agreements achieved indicate a common view of the Rosseti group and authorities of the Republic of Adygea on importance of building the newest infrastructure that allows revealing an entire socio-economic potential of the region and creating additional comfort for local residents. Implementation of provisions of the agreements signed today creates necessary conditions for stable development of the power grid complex, its modernization with introduction of digital management technologies and provision of the highest quality services," Pavel Livinskiy said.
