Starting from 1st September 2006 subscribers of the St. Petersburg branch of OJSC N.W.Telecom will be able to pay for communication services using 550 automatic teller machines and 40 information and payment kiosks of the North-West Bank of the Savings Bank of Russia (276 of them work round the clock).
Using these terminal devices, payment can be effected for the following services of OJSC N.W.Telecom : services of local and intraareal communication, including additional services of digital telephone exchanges, services of access to the Internet, etc., as well as long-distance and international communication services of OJSC Rostelecom and OJSC Interregional Transit Telecom.
Holders of Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Maestro bank cards of the Savings Bank may use this method. No commission is exacted from the payers.
Information on payment for communication services via automatic teller machines and information kiosks will be provided to the payment system of OJSC N.W.Telecom no later than 2 days from the moment of payment.
According to the agreement between OJSC NWT and the North-West Bank of the Savings Bank of Russia, acceptance of electronic wire transfer payments for communication services from individual users by bank cards through automatic teller machines of the Savings Bank will soon be possible in other administrative areas of the North-Western Region, too: in the Republic of Karelia, in Leningrad Oblast, Novgorod Oblast, Pskov Oblast and Kaliningrad Oblast.
