On April 27, 2002, the automobile plant redeemed its remaining debt as well as payment for current power consumption to AO MOSENERGO.

As of April 22, 2002, AMO ZIL’s debt for the energy consumed in September 2001 – March 2002, amounted to 24,750,800 rubles. Taking into account April consumption the amount would equal 25,821,700 rubles. By today the plant was paid in full.

Earlier, due to the fact that AMO ZIL hadn’t made any attempts to redeem the existing debt, AO MOSENERGO announced a complete power cut-off at the plant by way of switching it off at AO MOSENERGO’s feeders. However, cut-off was not required. After negotiations between top managers of both companies AO MOSENERGO found it possible to make a concession to the debtor and extend the debt payment deadline. As a result, on April 25, 16 million rubles were transferred to the accounts of AO MOSENERGO. The remaining part of the debt was also paid in time (the deadline expired at the end of the next week).

AO MOSENERGO is satisfied with the timely execution of the agreements by AMO ZIL and hopes that in the fututre the plant will stick to the terms of the electricity supply agreement.
