Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC, started reconstruction of 110/35/10 kV Sursk substation specified in the Investment program of the Company. The contractor company has already prepared the construction site and is engaged in grading works. Sursk substation (110/35/10 kV) was put into operation in 1965. It is equipped with transformers ÒÄÒÍÃ15000/110 and ÒÄÒÍÃ16000/110 with outdated oil circuit breakers ÌÊÏ-110. Its outdoor switchgear 110 kV also needs to be replaced. The range of works is performed in order to enhance the reliability of power supply to Gorodishchensky District and power transmission via high-voltage lines 110 kV Klyuchiki-Kuznetsk-Sursk-CHP-1-Penza-1. Moreover, the renovation of the substation will ensure the connection of new customers and industrial facilities to the electric mains. The reconstruction of Sursk substation is planned to be completed in 2015.
