Preliminary check to verify preparedness of facilities for autumn-winter period 2014-2015 has started in Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies). The aim of this check is to provide a better preparation of the power grid complex of the Samara region for winter peak loads. Such preliminary check is performed in Samara Distribution Grids every year. It is aimed to check the timelines and quality of a set of actions aimed to increase reliability of power supply for consumers of the Samara region during the peak load season. Special commissions created in each production department will conduct selective checks of power grid facilities in accordance with the approved schedule. These commissions will evaluate the implementation of the scheduled investment program, repair programs and technical maintenance of the distribution grid complex of the Samara region. They will also evaluate preparedness of equipment, buildings and facilities, protection systems and anti-failure automation devices, dispatch and technological control tools, ice melting schemes at 10-110 kV lines for the autumn-winter period. Besides, during the checks the commissions will also evaluate the availability of work places, contents of emergency inventory levels for materials and equipment in compliance with the set requirements, as well as availability of PPE, collective protection systems, special clothes and tools for the staff of the branch. According to the check results the branch will implement all necessary measures in the shortest time possible. The final check to verify preparedness of facilities for autumn-winter period 2014-2015 of Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC, will take place in the end of this September after completing all works within repair and investment programs.
