In the evening the route of «Desert Challenge» rally, taking place in UAE, lead the participants to the «LIVA» oasis. The main sport battles of the last lap of World Cup on Off-Road Rally-Raids 2003 will take place in its sand surroundings during the next 3 days.

3 military KAMAZ trucks piloted by Vladimir Chaghin, Firdaus Khabirov and Ilghizar Mardeev have carried out all the instructions for the start and are now attacking road obstacles together, following each other wheel by wheel. The nearest persuader of the sportsmen from Chelny in truck class is the crew of Bonetti from Italy, driving on the renewed desert attack IVECO truck. He is 15 minutes behind of KAMAZ. But the main fight is still ahead: the successor of Verzino, the legendary racer driving IVECO, is not loosing his hope to get even with KAMAZ crew for its ancestor, who dreamed about world leadership in trucks class.

If on October 21 the road menu of «Desert Challenge» rally mainly consisted of soft dunes, today the main part of the route will pass through the plain, dusty and hard grounds. Here the winner will be the team whose vehicle shows the best speed qualities and reliability of the running gear.
