The staff of Orenburg Town Power Grids of «Orenburgenergo”, the branch of “IDGC of Volga”, JSC specially controls the transmission lines on which the power supply of the private sector of the regional centre depends. Less than a year ago Orenburg Town Power Grids took to the fixed assets the transmission lines of the villages of Yuzhnyi Ural, Chkalov, Pugachevskogo. Tear and wear of the transmission lines in these settlements was over 70 percent. The power engineering specialists change the situation with the power supply step by step in the suburb. In August of the current year the major repairs of the transmission line in the village of Chkalov were made: wooden power transmission poles were replaced by reinforced concrete ones, 400 metres of the self-bearing insulated wire were laid, 40 service drops to dwelling houses were arranged. Now power engineering specialists perform the repair work in Budennyi Street of the village of Yuzhnyi Ural where the old transmission lines can not bear the current capacity. In winter, the period of power system maximum demand, the problem is acute. The maintenance crews switch 30 dwelling houses to another transformer substation. In September power engineering specialists got down to the major repairs of the transmission line in Zamknutyi lane, Roshchinskaya Street and Altynsarina Street. The building part of the transmission line has been done. After the repairs the quality and reliability of the electric power supply of the dwelling houses will increase. This year the staff of Orenburg Town Power Grids will conduct major repairs of the transmission line of 10 kV in the village of Pugachevskogo. Two transformer substations in the southern part of Orenburg are also scheduled to be reconstructed; it will raise the quality of electric power supply of the town private sector. Reconstruction of the transmission lines in Kaspiyskaya Street, Vladivostokskaya Street, Telmana Street, Repina Street, Izmailovskaya Street is scheduled. Here 90 wooden power transmission poles will be replaced by reinforced concrete ones, 3,91 km of the bear wire will be replaced by the self-bearing insulated wire, 186 service drops to dwelling houses will be arranged. At the repair and reconstruction work the power engineering specialists of Orenburg Town Power Grids take into account the increase in power consumption in the housing estates of Orenburg. Only in last 4 years the power consumption has raised by 17 percent. Scheduled repair, constant control and quick respond of power supply specialists to the proposals of the residents will help met the increasing needs of the town in electric power.
