Aeroflot-Russian Airlines operating results for January 2004 have been summed up.
In January Aeroflot carried 442,900 passengers (including 6,000 passengers of charter flights) and 7,900 tons of post and freight. There were made 1.490 billion passenger-kilometers and 178.4mln ton-kilometers. Operating volumes have increased in comparison with the last year according to all the indicators except of post carriages: according to passenger-kilometers – by 9.7%, according to carriage of passengers – by 8.1%, according to ton-kilometers – by 14%, according to freight carriage – by 11.9%.
Passenger seats’ occupation rate amounted to 69.8% and exceeded the last year rate by 7.1%. Percentage of enplaned traffic exceeded the last year level by 3.6% and amounted to 55.4%. The actual flight time increased by 808 hours in comparison with the last year (+4.8%).
The average daily flight time per a properly functioning plane amounted to 8.9 hours.
Income growth amounted to 21% compared with the same period of the last year.
According to Aeroflot Director General Valery Okulov, the airline company has exceeded the last year level according to main indicators, and on the whole it is operating within the production plan for the current year.
