The FETEC plans to expand number capacity of existing exchanges in Birobidzhan in 2004. Assembled capacity will be increased by 8,500 numbers whenever equipped capacity will be increased by 6,000 numbers. Thus Birobidzhan ATX assembled capacity will be about 30,000 numbers and equipped capacity will be about 25,000 numbers.

The OJSC FETEC plans to spend 50,000,000 rubles for the project in Birobidzhan.

Nikolay Veretennikov, director of JAR branch of the OJSC FETEC says that Birobidzhan has never seen so many telephones installed within a year before. On average expansion was from 1,500 to 2,000 per a year.
