Today in Omsk, a Gazprom delegation led by Viktor Ilyushin, Member of the Company’s Management Committee – Head of the Department of Relationships with Regional Authorities of the Russian Federation took part in the celebrations dedicated to the inauguration of the Omskaya compressor station (CS).

Participating in the celebrations were also Leonid Polezhayev, Governor of the Omsk Oblast, top management of Gazprom transgaz Tomsk, as well as contracting organizations – participants of the CS construction.

“The Omskaya CS commissioning is a next crucial stage in Gazprom’s comprehensive activity aimed at higher security of gas supply to Russian consumers. A highly automated compressor station equipped with cutting-edge production facilities represents a substantial contribution to ensuring uninterrupted gas supplies in Russia’s eastern regions, which is especially crucial now, during the winter spell,” – stated Viktor Ilyushin.

Background:

With 20 MW in capacity, the Omskaya CS will secure natural gas transportation via the Northern Tyumen Oblast – Surgut – Omsk and further across the Omsk – Novosibirsk – Kuzbass.

The CS is operated by Gazprom transgaz Tomsk – a 100 per cent subsidiary of Gazprom.
