Today, the Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Oleg Bogomolov, Governor of the Kurgansk Oblast.

The parties discussed issues related to the Kurgansk Oblast gasification. Particularly, the parties discussed an opportunity to include construction of the socially significant branch pipelines for the region in the Gazprom investment program over 2008 to 2010.

The meeting particularly emphasized the need of the regional authorities to timely execute the synchronized schedule on preparing consumers for gas supply.

The Agreement of cooperation between Gazprom and the Kurgansk Oblast Administration was signed on April 28, 2006.

The Kurgansk Oblast is gasified at 19.8 per cent including 31.2 per cent in cities and towns, 3.4 per cent in rural area. The Russia’s average rates are at 54, 61 and 36 percent, respectively.

During 2003-2006 Gazprom committed RUR 505 mln for the Kurgansk Oblast gasification. In 2007 Gazprom and the Kurgansk Oblast jointly committed RUR 330 mln for the construction of 7 local gas pipelines.

In 2006 Gazprom supplied 317.9 mcm of gas to the regional consumers.
