On 16th April 2007 Yury Viktorovich Baranov, who had headed the division of the interregional branch of cellular communication OJSC Uralsvyazinform in the town of Khanty-Mansiysk, was appointed the Director of the Account Management Department of OJSC North-West Telecom.

Yury Baranov was born in 1965 in Leningrad.  In 1985 he graduated from the Leningrad Radio Equipment Engineering School, specializing as a radio technician. In 2001 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Professor M.A. Bonch-Bruyevich State University of Telecommunications, having received a degree in multi-channel telecommunication systems engineering. In 2003-2004 he underwent retraining at the Academy of National Economy at the Government of the Russian Federation, specializing as a manager.

Yury Baranov started his career in 1984 at LNPO Krasnaya Zarya and in 1992 he was moved to the position of an engineer at SP Telezarya. Starting from 1996 he worked for OJSC Khanty-MansiyskOkrTelecom, and then, after reorganization of the company in the form of affiliation with OJSC Uralsvyazinform he occupied managing positions in the engineering and commercial divisions:  Deputy Manager of the Management and Control Centre, Manager of the Operational Management Centre, and Manager of the Sales Organization Department.  Starting from August 2005 and until recently he was the Director of the Khanty-Mansiysk division of the interregional branch of cellular communication OJSC Uralsvyazinform Yury Baranov's terms of reference in these positions included the development of own sales channels and organization of interaction of the division headed by him with agents and dealers, roaming management, development of additional services for cellular communication subscribers, and relations with foreign partners. 

In his new position in OJSC North-West Telecom Yury Viktorovich Baranov will concentrate his efforts on ensuring a sustainable growth of the Company's revenues, supervising, among other things, the issues of forming the corporate process of services sales and clients servicing, and ensuring the manageability of the interaction between branches of OJSC N.W.Telecom in the field of services sales and the servicing of clients - both individuals and legal entities.
