Famous for judo fans Japanese words “ Hageme!” “Matte!” “Ippon!” were heard in “Olympyiski” sport complex in Naberezhnye Chelny city on the eve of Engineering Worker’s Holyday. XVII All-Russian KAMAZ youth judo tournament gathered together a great number of participants: 206 14-16 aged judoists of 20 teams, which represented 14 cities of the country. They competed for victory in traditional championship, renewed last year, after 10 years of break, by the initiative of Sergey Kogoghin, Director General of “KAMAZ Inc.” OJSC, USSR Master of Sports of unarmed self-defense and judo disciplines.
Guiding young fighters at the celebrity opening of the championship, Sergey Kogoghin wished them to conquer tops of judo craftsmanship so energetic and confidently, as KAMAZ does in its production. Honoured guests of competitions were the member of State Duma and the Head of “ Regions of Russia” group Oleg Morozov, famous Masters of judo, honoured coaches of Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation, including the first mentor of Director General of KAMAZ Farit Mad’yarov. They presented golden badges of judo federation of Tatarstan the judoists and sports members for contribution in development of this kind of sport in Republic. Young sportsmen, who achieved first success in Russian and international levels, received their rewards as well as their coaches.
The whole championship was an acute, hard-edged and interesting fight. Against a background of numerous technical grips with positive estimation “Ippon” ( glorious victory) and “Vaza-ari”, just sometimes there were heard sports reproach “Shido!”, the reason of which was not reluctance to continue fight, but yet weak skills of young judoists. The winners of this long marathon were those, whose sport abilities and spirit appeared to be more perfect and rich. These are (by way of increasing of youth weight categories): Arthur Sirazetdinnov (Kazan’ city), Andrey Mazhittov (Naberezhnye Chelny city), Dmitry Sorokin (Perm’ city), Il’naz Basharov, Alexey Goghol, Ramin Zakhiev (all from Naberezhnye Chelny city), Anton Glushkhov (Tchaikovsky city), Alexey Samoilov (Naberezhnye Chelny city), and Alexey Tolokonnikov ( Samara city). Team from Chelny city was the first in team scoring, sportsmen from Samara city were the second and participants from Kazan’ city took the third place.
