The Gazprom Headquarters today has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Sergey Katanandov, Head of the Republic of Karelia.
The parties reviewed the implementation of an Agreement for cooperation.
Alexey Miller and Sergey Katanandov discussed issues relative to the development of a General Gasification Scheme for the Region and to the gasification of several population centers in the Republic.

Gazprom and the Government of the Republic of Karelia had entered into the five-year Agreement for cooperation in April 2005.
In 2005 Gazprom supplied the Republic with 425 MMcm of gas and some 600 MMcm is slated for this year.
Gas deliveries over 2006 have been paid up at more than 98 per cent. As at August 1, 2006, the regional gas debt accounts for some RUR 2.5 mln.
Gazprom is resolute to expand the cooperation with the Republic of Karelia. The Shtokman gas & condensate field project contemplates constructing in the Republic a gas trunk line reaching the town of Volkhov. Currently, the planned pipeline route is being discussed at public hearings.
