The JSC "Electrosila" has shipped the units for the third, the last of the 21,78 Mw hydro-generators, that are being reconstructed at the hydro power plant "Yulhama" (Finland). The modernised unit will be put into operation in autumn this year.
The company has been participating in the plant reconstruction since 1999 collaborating with its strategic partner in the counties of Northern Europe Fortum Corporation (Finland). The following parts and items make up the volume of the deliveries for the reconstructed units: a new stator, rotor poles, segments of bearings with Teflon coating, developed according to the unique methods of Electrosila. The above mentioned reconstruction made it possible to increase the capacity of the existing equipment approximately by 30%.
According to General Director of the JSC "Electrosila" Ravil Urusov, preliminary negotiations in collaboration with Fortum are under way for participation in reconstruction of the other HPP in Finland. Electrosila has already received an order for reconstruction of the generator of the HPP "Emma" and the generator of the HPP "Aittokoski" in 2003 with the volume of deliveries similar to the HPP "Yulhama".

The turbo-generators manufactured by JSC "Electrosila" are installed at the atomic power plant "Loviiza" (two 220 Mw generators TVV-220, 1980) and at the APP "Yoensu" (the 120 Mw generator TVF-120, 1986). In 1997 the 30 Mw generator for the HPP "Pamilo" was delivered, in 2001 – the 12,59 Mw generator for the HPP "Katerma".
The Power Machines Group comprises the following joint-stock companies: Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod, Electrosila, Turbine Blades Plant, Kaluga Turbine Works and Energomachexport – Power Machines.
