This meeting with the mass media was attended by deputy chief engineer of AO MOSENERGO for heating operations Dmitri Barshak, chief engineer of Heating Grids of AO MOSENERGO, Viktor Lipovskikh, head of the production and technical department Andrei Novikov, deputy head of the department for servicing and repairing the heating equipment Sergei Yermoshin.
In 2002, Heating Grids (division of AO MOSENERGO) received 2.4 billion rubles for repairs conducted within the preparation for the heating season 2002–2003. Last year for the same need the company allocated approximately 2 billion rubles.
The plan of repairs for 2002 provides for replacing:
-
70 km of heating lines in the Moscow region;
-
750 seal compensators with sylphone compensators (that exclude water leaks and do not require maintenance);
-
old pipes;
-
testing the equipment of 21 pumping stations.
One of main tasks of the repairs campaign launched by Heating Grids is to lay pipes insulated with polyurethane foam which would make them last twice as long. These pipes do not require maintenance throughout the entire service period. They completely exclude water leaks and are rustproof. Currently heating lines insulated with polyurethane foam have been laid in districts that have higher water contents in the soil. The total length of lines insulated with polyurethane foam is 56 km. This year, Heating Grids plan to lay 7 km of these pipes, which would require an investment of 40 million rubles.
All repairs at facilities serviced by Heating Grids will be completed no later than August 28. According to Barshak, the main tasks for AO MOSENERGO in the process of preparation for the heating season is to ensure quality and timing while proving reliable power supply to its consumers.
