OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works ("MMK" or “Company”) announces that it is taking part in two recognised international forums — METEC 2015 international metallurgical trade fair, and Astana Mining & Metallurgy 2015 exhibition in Kazakhstan.

MMK’s stands will showcase the extensive range of products and technical capabilities of one of Russia’s largest metal producers. In particular, they will highlight flat and long rolled products, HVA products including zinc-coated and polymer-coated products. Thanks to the far-reaching technical mordernisation programme implemented over the past decade, MMK has launched production of modern innovative products that are in demand on the market. These high value added products include high-margin heavy plate used in the oil and gas industry, shipbuilding, bridge building and machinery manufacturing, as well as high-quality cold-rolled and zinc-coated steel sheet, including products made fr om high-strength steel grades. MMK is ready to offer these products to key markets including European countries and Kazakhstan. Europe is the second-largest export market for MMK outside the CIS, wh ere the Company supplied approx. 650,000 tonnes of metal in 2014, representing almost one-third of the company’s total exports sales. Kazakhstan is MMK’s largest foreign trade partner within the CIS. Last year the Company supplied 355,000 tonnes to the country.
METEC, which runs from 16 to 20 June 2015 in Dusseldorf (Germany), is the largest and the most respected international metal exhibition. It is held once every four years, and defines the key trajectories for the metals industry. MMK’s CEO Pavel Shilyaev is attending the exhibition.
Astana Mining & Metallurgy 2015 exhibition, which is held from 17 to 18 June 2015 in the capital of Kazakhstan, is expected to gather around 650 delegates from over 15 countries.
