Management, Trade Union Committee and staff of “KAMAZ Inc.” OJSC have suffered a bereavement – Victor V. Faber, Director General of “KAMAZ – Metallurghia” OJSC and Metallurgy Deputy Director General of “KAMAZ Inc.” OJSC has tragically perished. Top – manager of “KAMAZ Inc.” OJSC Victor Faber has been kidnapped in May, 27, 2003 and, as it came to notice 4 months later, killed by the terrorists of the organized crime group.

Faber V. was born in May, 19, 1959 in Volchansk city in Sverdlovskaya oblast’. He graduated from the Technical school in Krasnoturinsk city in 1978 and came to KAMAZ to start work as a caster of metals and alloys at the production of non-ferrous castings of Foundry Plant. In 1978-80 he was in the Soviet Army, after that he returned back to his working place. In 1984 he became an engineer, then, chief engineer, deputy and the Head of foundry office ? 3 of non-ferrous production. In 1989 he entered All-Russian Correspondence Polytechnic School in Moscow, and this year he was nominated a Head of Production.

Victor V. Faber was the Head of Non-ferrous production almost 9 years. Experienced, technically skilled manager of principles, he has been chosen a Director General of “Kama Foundry Plant” OJSC in 1998.

Victor V. Faber was a strong-willed and talented organizer. In market conditions he saved production capacity and lead the plant out of crises. He was the initiator of establishing of “KAMAZ –Metallurghia” OJSC, consisted of three large plants, and its good manager until now. Full of power, a high intellectual manager, kind, respectful person and friend has died. It is an inconsolable distress for all those, who knew and who worked with him. It is the loss, which is past recovery!
