During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Rosneft and Sinara Group signed a partnership agreement for oil product supply. The document was signed by Chairman of the Rosneft Management Board Igor Sechin and President of the Sinara Group Dmitry Pumpyansky. Under the Agreement the companies will implement joint research to develop and bring into production high-tech lubricants and other petroleum products. In particular, it is supposed that specialists of the companies will carry out a technical analysis of equipment followed by the introduction of new products into the process chain meeting the needs of Sinara Group’s machinery-building division.
Commenting on the Agreement signed, Igor Sechin said: "The agreements achieved indicate active cooperation of the Company and leading Russian industrial holdings. Such partnership serves the interests of domestic production and facilitates delivery of import substitution programs as well as enables a larger footprint of the Company in the niche product market".
As Dmitry Pumpyansky noted, the agreement would contribute to further upgrade of Sinara Group’s engineering products. “The company’s entities produce hi-tech and unique goods. For instance, Ural Locomotives plant is pursuing localization of the Lastochka bullet train, while UDMZ has designed a range of high-speed engines much-needed by diesel locomotive manufacturers, shipbuilders and small-scale power generation. Introduced into production and testing, these and other innovative lubricants designed by our partners should improve their specifications and broaden the range of domestic substitutes for imported goods.”
