Rosneft and Iskra-Energetika signed an agreement within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to cooperate in the area of production localization and equipment supplies for natural gas marketing facilities and to design and build gas filling infrastructure.
The document is aimed to join the efforts of both companies to develop the market of natural gas as motor fuel in the Russian regions. The Agreement defines the key terms of cooperation in the area of production localization and future equipment supplies, construction and design of gas filling infrastructure facilities. Also, the parties intend to undertake joint technical and economic studies to be used as a basis for specific investment projects.
Joint efforts of Rosneft and Iskra-Energetika will help developing the Russian gas motor fuel market, localize production and substitute imports of equipment for natural gas marketing facilities in Russia. Expanding use of natural gas in the transportation segment yields considerable fuel cost savings and reduces negative impact on the environment.

Iskra-Energetika is one of the leaders of gas and steam turbine power plants, compressor stations and APG treatment facilities construction in Russia.
In the short term, the company plans to localize the production of equipment for natural gas marketing facilities at its own manufacturing sites. The company also plans a number of joint projects with Rosneft to build gas filling infrastructure facilities in the Russian Federation. |
