At the Croatian shipyard “BrodoSplit” the tanker “Island Sakhalin” (Hull ? 439) was launched, being built for Primorsk Shipping Corporation. As the director of the PRISCO technical department has informed the shipbuilders have begun a final stage of work – completion of the vessel. There are only some months before putting the new tanker into operation. Her acceptance is supposed to be in Fabruary – March, 2004. Simultaneously with construction of the m/t “Island Sakhalin” at shipyard the shipbuilders is carrying out hull sections assembling for another PRISCO Aframax of 108 000 DWT, which is referred as the Hull ? 440. In total three thousand tons of hull sections are prepared for it, some of them have been painted already.
