July 17, 2019 Moscow, Russia. PJSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: MOEX, LSE: HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) announces that the Russian Government has approved a list of modernization projects in the Far East, proposed by the Company. The list includes construction of Artemovskaya CHP-2, Khabarovskaya CHP-4, and second phase of Yakutskaya GRES-2 as well as modernization of Vladivostokskaya CHP-2. Sufficient return on investment will be secured via mechanism stipulated by the government program for modernization of the thermal power generation in Russia.

• Artemovskaya CHP-2 is to be built in Primorsky Kray and should substitute capacity of Artemovskaya CHP, commissioned in 1936. The new 420 MW / 483 GCal/h plant will be built at a new site but will partially use infrastructure of the old facility that should be retired later. The plant will use locally mined lignite as fuel. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for 2026.

• The gas-fired Khabarovskaya CHP-4 with electric capacity of 328 MW and heat capacity of 1374 GCal/h will replace Khabarovskaya CHP-1 built in 1954. The new brown field project will supply the city of Khabarovsk with high demand for electricity and heat. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for 2025

• Yakutskaya GRES-2 aims to substitute Yakutskaya GRES currently in operation. The new plant will have electric capacity of 157 MW and heat capacity of 200 GCal/h. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for 2025.

• Modernization of Vladivostokskaya-CHP-2, the main source of electricity and heat for Vladivostok, will include replacement of three turbines and eight boilers with increase of electric and heat capacity of the plant from from 283 MW to 360 MW and from 506 GCal/h to 570 GCal/h, respectively. The project will take several stages to complete through 2025.

All projects will use modern efficient equipment manufactured in Russia and comply with the most stringent environmental norms. Currently, RusHydro has completed feasibility studies for the projects and has begun development of the detailed design documentation.
