In the first half-year of the current year, specialists of Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) repaired 150.8 km of 0.4–10 kV overhead power transmission lines and 50.8 km of 35–110 kV overhead power transmission lines. During the repair campaign of the same period the electricians repaired 207 6/10/0.4 kV transformer substations.
Besides, Chuvashenegro branch employees performed an overhaul at ten 110/35/6-10 kV substations, including overhaul repairs at 5 substations. Scheduled repair operations were successfully completed at 35–110 kV substations included repair of one hundred and fifteen 6–110 kV switches, 39 insulating and short-circuiting switches, and 51 disconnecting switches, plus replacement of 180 stick-pedestal insulators. Totally in 2016, in Chuvashenergo branch it is planned to repair 832.8 km of power transmission lines of all voltage classes, 455 10/6/0.4 kV transformer substations, and to perform capital repair of 22 110/35/10/6 kV substations.
Moreover, a provision is made for clearing power transmission line routes from trees and scrubs within the area of 458.9 ha. During the first half-year, 205.8 hectares were cleared, which totals about 45% from the annual volume. The repair operations are carried out to ensure appropriate safety of electrical equipment, provision of uninterrupted power supply for consumers in the Chuvash Republic, and prevention of faults and failures of electrical installations.
