Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), commenced the reconstruction of Rakhovskaya 110/6 kV closed-type substation in Saratov. Its consumers include Municipal Unitary Production Enterprise (MUPP) Saratovgorelectrotransport, Saratov Power Supply Office and other companies.

For the period of the company's reconstruction and for provision of failure-free power supply for consumers the power engineers launched a mobile substation serving as a power source for consumers. In 2016, during the reconstruction of Rakhovskaya 110/6 kV substation, a new 40 MW power transformer will be installed. At the following stages of reconstruction which will be conducted up to and including 2018, the substation will get a new second transformer, 110 kW switchgear and sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker assembly, ShERA TT transformer protection cubicles, new 6 kV indoor switchgear cells and other equipment.

Apart from improving the operation reliability of the power facility, the reconstruction will allow to solve a range of other tasks: the cost decrease of power equipment operation, technological connection of new consumers and increase in net electricity supply.
