Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group), replaced transformer bushings at 110 kV Oroshenie-2 substation in the Engelsskiy district, Saratov region. In the course of the scheduled repair power engineers replaced sealed oil-filled bushings with bushings with solid insulation at power transformer T-2. 110 kV high-voltage transformer bushings are bushing insulators of large dimensions and complex design used to extract high-voltage wires from transformer tanks. New bushings with solid insulation have no transformer oil. The space between the body and casing is filled by unigel ensuring both safe operation of the power transformer and lower costs of its operation. Oroshenie-2 substation supplies power to the irrigation system, Kvasnikovka village and Zeleny settlement. The replaced transformer bushings will largely increase the substation reliability and improve supply to consumers.
