As a result of the first five months of 2002, federal entities (entities that are funded from the federal budget) paid for electricity at 101.5%.
The federal entities which fully paid for supplied electricity and heat included Defense Ministry (level of sales—104%), Education Ministry (101%), Health Ministry (104%), the Ministry of industry (112%), Russian Academy of Sciences (103%), Ministry of Economy and Trade (103%).
Meanwhile, a number of consumers funded from the federal budget still do not pay for consumed energy on time. In January-May 2002, Ministry of Emergency Situation paid for only 77% of consumed agency, Federal Agency for Government Communications—for 83%, and Ministry of Justice—for 93%.
AO MOSENERGO intends to maintain the existing rates of recovering debts from federal consumers and increase the oversight over timely compliance with payment schedules. Before the end of the year overdue payments should be made to AO MOSENERGO in full.
