The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Yury Berg, Governor of the Orenburg Oblast.
The parties gave a positive assessment to the joint implementation of the Cooperation Agreement signed by Gazprom and the Orenburg Oblast Government. It was noted that the regional gasification level had increased by more than 6 per cent since the date of signing and made up 91.2 per cent by January 1, 2010.
Alexey Miller and Yury Berg addressed the development prospects for the Orenburg Oblast gasification and discussed potential acquisition by Gazprom of the distribution networks built at the expense of the regional budget.
Background:
Gazprom and the Orenburg Oblast Government entered into the Cooperation Agreement in March 2006.
Between 2003 and 2008 Gazprom invested over RUB 2.7 billion in the regional gasification development.
In 2009 the Company allotted RUB 110 million for these purposes. The funds were used to construct five inter-settlement gas pipelines. The Oblast Government, on its part, laid 35.5 kilometers of street-level networks, put three gas boiler houses into operation and prepared 758 apartments and households for gas deliveries.
In 2010 Gazprom will allocate RUB 15 million for the Oblast gasification.
