On results of the working meeting between Aleksey Miller and Frank Chapman

Gazprom’s Headquarters has hosted today the working meeting between Aleksey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman, and Frank Chapman, BG Group Director-General.

The meeting was held within Gazprom’s activity to find partners at the U.K. market and arrange LNG supplies. Taking into consideration substantial BG Group abilities on LNG marketing in USA, U.K. and Spain, prospects for cooperation were discussed at the meeting to deliver LNG from Shtokmanovskoye field and Baltic LNG project.

Aleksey Miller and Frank Chapman have agreed to return to discuss the given issues in May this year.

British oil and gas company BG Group is 100% subsidiary of the oil and gas corporation British Gas. BG Group operates in more than 20 countries. BG Group is engaged in oil, gas, electricity production and transmission, marketing research, LNG supplies to ultimate consumers.

BG Group is the largest LNG supplier to USA. BG group has five LNG terminals and four terminals are under construction.

Gazprom has accomplished the first LNG supply to the U.S. market on September 2, 2005. The delivery was based on contracts with the companies BG Group and Shell Western BV. According to these contracts LNG was purchased from BG Group and sold to Shell Western BV for realization at the U.S. market.
