Sistema JSFC’s member companies have joined forces in helping children suffering from various disabilities and disorders

A charity action timed for the 45th anniversary of Zelenograd is to be put on at Specialized School 1702 in that city on February 20, 2003. The action has been initiated and arranged by the Science for Health Care Charity Foundation.

The Science for Health Care Charity is to supply the school with gym equipment; ??? Detski Mir-Center will donate children's dictionaries and encyclopedias for the school library; and the Science Center Concern is buying televisions and a computer for the children. "Training on custom-made simulators will help our children to improve their health, and reading those wonderful books and manipulating the computer will promote their harmonious intellectual development," said the school principal, G. Larina.

The charity action is expected to be attended by T. Zabelina, Vice Prefect of Zelenograd, Z. Dragunkina, deputy of the Moscow City Duma, and heads of sponsor companies.

Sidebar: School 1702 is a specialized rehabilitation school for junior schoolchildren suffering from locomotive disorders. The school was opened in 1992.

The Science for Health Care Charity Foundation is a non-profit organization whose stated goal is assisting socially vulnerable groups of the population and supporting Russian scientists and manufacturers of medical products. Since it was established, the charity has sponsored 82 charity events and given Rb 64 million in charity aid.

The Science Center Concern is Russia's biggest electronics research and development complex uniting several microelectronics and processing equipment manufacturers. The company's enterprises develop and manufacture integrated circuits (NIIME Research Institute and Mikron Plant), microelectronics manufacturing equipment (ITSM and NIITM), and industrial and household electronics (Elaks, Elion, and Sitronics).

Detski Mir (Children's World) Firm is the biggest operator in the children's goods market. The Group's key stores are the Detski Mir department store, Europe's biggest, in Lubyanka Square, and the Toy World (Dom Igrushki) on the Bolshaya Yakimanka Street, to name only the most significant retailers.
