Volvo representatives held negotiations with Severstal’s top managers, and Anatoly Kruchinin, it’s general director. The Volvo delegation included Kent Urvenal - AV Volvo director of projects on procurement in new markets, Lasse Korneliusson - general director of Volvo East, Erik Eberhudson - general director of Volvo Construction Equipment in Russia and Ukraine, Jury Smirnov, director of Volvo Truck Corporation, and Alexei Rosin, marketing representative of Volvo Truck Corporation.

Volvo representatives met with Severstal’s general and sales directors, deputy director on strategy and controlling, strategic planning department’s staff, sales department managers, passenger transportation staff and SSM-Tyazhmash managers.

The parties will discuss opportunities for cooperation in various areas. For example, Volvo buying steel from Severstal and production of components for Volvo at SSM-Tyazhmash are of interest. Volvo representatives have already stated their requirements to the quality of steel and components.

“We welcome cooperation with Volvo, as both of our companies will benefit from it,” said Anatoly Kruchinin.
