AO MOSENERGO won first place in the category "Implementation of Social Programs at Enterprises and Organizations". The jury handed the diploma to Arkady Yevstafyev, general director of AO MOSENERGO.

The distribution of awards took place on December 10, 2002, at the ceremony at the Moscow State Kremlin Palace. The prize went to AO MOSENERGO because the company has implemented a whole range of social programs including medical services for compans employees, organization of summer retreats for employees and their families, labor safety measures, etc.

In addition to AO MOSENERGO, the participants in III All-Russia Contest for "High Social Efficiency Entity" included Yukos, Rosneft, TNK, Aeroflot, Tatneft, ALROSA, Severstal, Norilsky Nikel and other Russian companies, industry associations, local governments, in total -- more than 1,000 enterprises from 81 Russian regions, representing 40 industries.

The contest was organized by the government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Labor and All-Russia Associations of Employers and Trade Unions. The organizational committee of the contest was headed by deputy prime-minister Valentina Matvienko.
