St-Petersburg, Russia; 16 November, 2015– Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of a new hypermarket in Chelyabinsk.
The new store is a Lenta standard format hypermarket located in the “Almaz” shopping mall at 64 Kopeiskoe Highway, Chelyabinsk. The store has a total area of 15,697 sq.m, with 7,665 sq.m of selling space and is open from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. A broad product assortment of 26,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Chelyabinsk and includes Lenta’s private label and federal product ranges alongside local produce. The store is equipped with 42 cash registers. The property is owned by Lenta. The “Almaz” shopping mall has 4,000 parking spaces.
This opening is Lenta’s seventeenth hypermarket opening in 2015 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 125 hypermarkets in 64 cities across Russia and 27 supermarkets in the Moscow region.
