A solemn meeting dedicated to the Power Engineer Day was held in Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Over one thousand of power engineering specialists of the Samara region gathered in the hall, including workers of Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (subsidiary of OAO Rosseti). Aleksandr Nefyodov, Vice-Governor of the Samara region Government, congratulated power engineers in the name of the Samara region Governor and Government. In his speech he emphasized great progress achieved by power engineers by today's holiday. "I would like to wish all power sector specialists more responsible approach to their work. Safety, comfort and well-being of millions of our citizens and stable functioning of the industrial sector depend on your everyday high-quality work", said A.P. Nefyodov. He also presented government awards and valuable gifts to distinguished workers of the industry. Director of Volzhskoye Production Department Zimovets Sergey Aleksandrovich received certificate of honour of the Governor of the Samara region. Sergey Aleksandrovich has been working in power sector for 35 years. He has got great experience and practical skills, perfect sense of future opportunities. In complicated situations he always takes circumspect, skilled professional and managerial decisions. A fifth-rank electrician of emergency response crew of the Dispatch Operating Group of Tolyatti District Electric Grids of Zhigulevsk Production Department, Mostovaya Ilza Petrovna, also received a government award. Ilza Petrovna started her working career at Zhigulevsk Electric Grids in May 1985 as electrician of emergency response crew of Tolyatti group of substations. Perfect knowledge of the operating process and equipment configuration allowed her to master fully and promptly the duties assigned to her relating to substations management. During 28 years of work she repeatedly participated in elimination of different technological disturbances and emergency situations at substations maintained by the Dispatch Operating Group of Tolyatti RES. Also, Samara power engineers received congratulations of the RF Minister of Energy Aleksandr Novak and Speaker of Samara Regional Duma Viktor Sazonov. The event was completed by a festive musical performance.
