GAZPROM

February 19, 2007

On working meeting between Alexey Miller and Viktor Kress

The Gazprom Headquarters today has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Viktor Kress, Governor of the Tomsk Oblast.

The parties addressed the progress with the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Tomsk regional authorities, placing a focus on matters surrounding gasification of the region.

Reference:

Gazprom and the Tomsk regional authorities entered into the Agreement of Cooperation in December 2004, with the Accord on Gasification signed in September 2006.

In 2006 Gazprom supplied the region with some 1.3 bcm of gas and roughly the same volume is slated for this year.

As at February 1, 2007, the regional debt for the gas supplied has averaged RUR 115 mln.

Natural gas penetration in the residential sector of the Tomsk region makes up 5.4 per cent including 6.3 per cent in cities & towns and 3.8 per cent in rural areas. The identical figures throughout Russia average 54, 61 and 36 per cent, respectively.

Over 2006 through 2007 Gazprom plans to invest RUR 280 mln to gasify the Tomsk region, including to build the Chazhemto automated gas distribution station – town of Kolpashevo gas pipeline to be brought online in 2007. Promgaz (a subsidiary of Gazprom) is now preparing a pre-investment study and developing a comprehensive gas supply project for Kolpashevo, taking account of thermal power facility upgrading. The regional authorities will, on their part, allocate some RUR 1 bln to construct between 2006 and 2007 gas distribution infrastructure in Kolpashevo.
