Samara Grids are going to repair over 750 complete transformer substations before winter

The annual maintenance and repair program is ongoing at the Samara Grids branch of the Rosseti Volga (a brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC). On the territory of the Samara region, power engineers will repair 753 package transformer substations (PTS) of 10/0.4 kV.

Package transformer substations are designed to receive electrical energy and reduce the voltage in the power grid. From them, the electricity is supplied directly to end consumers – residents of the region, to social facilities (pumping stations, hospitals, educational institutions), agricultural enterprises, etc.

As part of the repair, equipment will be serviced and checked for integrity, repair of power transformers, line disconnectors, replacement of bushing insulators and other switching equipment. Additionally, warning signs about the danger of electric current will be updated at PTSs. A total of 36.4 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

Work is carried out strictly on schedule, regardless of any external factors. Power engineers fully comply not only with the rules of electrical safety, but also with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. The staff is fully provided with personal protective equipment – antiseptic agents and masks. Temperature measurement is carried out to all members of the repair team every 2 hours.

Repair work carried out as part of the instructions of Pavel Livinsky, General Director of Rosseti, PJSC on timely readiness of the power grid complex to work in the coming autumn-winter period, will be completed in September this year. Their result is an uninterrupted supply of electricity in all weather conditions to consumers of Samara Grids.
