Today the delegation of Severstal, headed by Georgy Shevtsov, director of the Social Affairs, set off to Valaam to take part in the festivities, dedicated to the Memory of Apostles Sergey and German - Valaam miracle men, who are celebrated on July 12.
   Alexy II sent a letter and invitation to Alexey Mordashov, where he thanked the general director of the Severstal-group for helping to restore monasteries, convents and cathedrals of the Russian Orthodox Church. On the Memorial day of the Apostles, which created the Valaam cloister, Severstal will bring an UAZ car as a gift to the Spaso-Preobragensky Cathedral in support of its restoration.
   For the festivities, commemorating the Saint Valaam cloister, the Russian Orthodox Church will arrange a pilgrimage tour on the Krondshtadt ship to the Valaam Island and a special church service, lead by the head of the Russian Orthodox Church - His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All of Russia.
