MOSENERGO (TGC-3)

July 11, 2002

AO MOSENERGO is completing the construction of Yuzhno-Izmailovskaya pump station

The launch of the new pump station is scheduled for the end of July. Currently, specialists are fine-tuning adjustment and regulation works at the station. During the heating season this pump station will provide 200–240 GCal of heat to the Eastern Administrative district, particularly to new buildings on Magnitogorskaya and Stalevarov Streets, and in the future, to facilities located in reconstructed areas of Yuzhnoe Izmailovo and Ivanovskoye. The pump station will be automatically controlled from a dispatch point of Heating Grids of AO MOSENERGO.

The productivity of Yuzhno-Izmailovskaya pump station is 2650 m3/hour. It has five SE-800-55-11 grid pumps manufactured by Nasosenergomash (Sumy). Three pumps are equipped with Allen-Bradley frequency regulated drives, which help to avoid excessive loads during operation. This equipment makes it possible to save power, reduce noise and prolong usage. Today AO MOSENERGO widely uses these drives. The station has a new valve that prevents water pressure from rising to critical levels in case of the emergency shut-down of the main equipment.

The construction of Yuzhno-Izmailovskaya pump station was started in 2001, under the joint program between AO MOSENERGO and the Moscow Government, in accordance with the regulation «On the Engineering Support for Reconstruction of Five-Story and Decrepit Houses in Moscow» AO MOSENERGO and the Moscow government equally financed this project valued at 233 million rubles.
