Primorsk Shipping Corporation is activating the crewing activity for the employment on the foreign vessels. Alexander Zaporozhsky, Director of the Personnel Department, informed, that for these purposes a crewing division has been established in the structure of the department. The Shipping Company thinks of getting a firm position in this segment of the labor market. In the course of many years the Company professionally deals with selection and integration of crews for own tankers and over a year has been preparing the crews for the foreign shipowners. The right to perform crewing activity is confirmed by the certificate of the classification society DNV(Det Norske Veritas) which the Corporation got in November 2002. The Personnel Department has prepared three crews within incomplete calendar year. All seafarers trained afresh in the Company's Training Centre and successfully work on the foreign vessels. The Training base of the Corporation is considered one of the best not only in the Far East but in the whole Russia. The Centre works in compliance with the International standards which clearly define the requirements to the crew training system; it is equipped with all modern facilities including full scale simulators which are able to create a situation close to the real marine conditions. Training is based on the approved programs, the seafarers are given the documents of the due form. Highly qualified specialists with large working experience give the practical training. All of them have certificates, which authorize them to train the seafarers, estimate them, and conduct attestation in conformity with the modern requirements.
