Saratov distribution grids summed up the results of technical diagnosis of equipment in 2020

Specialists of Saratov distribution grids, Branch Rosseti Volga PJSC during the past year have tested over 8.8 thousand units of electric grid equipment. At 35–110 kV substations, the conditions of power and measuring transformers, switches, support-rod and suspended insulation of busbar sections was checked. Inspections of porcelain insulation of 22 110 kV circuit breakers was carried out using the ultrasonic method. To control the suspension insulators, equipment operating in the ultraviolet spectrum of radiation was used.

In the segment of distribution networks, the equipment of about 1.5 thousand transformer substations and 1.4 thousand power transformers 6 (10)/0.4 kV were examined using mobile high-voltage laboratories and a complex of portable devices. To check oil-filled equipment 35–110 kV, physical-chemical and chromatographic diagnostics were carried out. More than 3.1 thousand transformer oil samples were analyzed.

Specially equipped mobile cable electrical laboratories were used to test 63 6–110 kV cable lines. With the use of an ultraviolet flaw detector, power engineers examined the condition of almost 5 thousand supports and 19.6 thousand strings of insulators on 30 110 kV overhead lines.

Also, a thermal imaging survey was carried out on 167 35–110 kV overhead power lines, 198 35–110 kV substations and 2,538 6 (10)/0.4 kV transformer substations. The use of thermal imagers allows you to receive information about the state of electric grid equipment without interruptions in the power supply to consumers.

Regularly conducted tests, measurements and examinations allow detecting malfunctions in the early phases of their formation, preventing temporary power outages and failure of electric grid equipment. The results obtained are used for prompt repair work in identifying malfunctions, the formation of an investment program and a plan for repair work.
