AO MOSENERGO organized the exhibition. It is dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the company’s creation. Originally, it was a branch of the St. Petersburg Company for Electric Lighting. Today AO MOSENERGO provides power to 15 million citizens of the Moscow region—10% of the Russian population.
The exhibition contains modern photographs and unique pictures back from 1920 –1970, which were provided by Krasnogorsk-based Russian State Archive of Photographic Documents and the central Moscow Archive of Audio and Video Documents. The photographs provide documentary evidence of the «great construction» epoch and power men’s work from the start of the total electrification (GOELRO plan) until today. The exhibition also includes photographs made by the classics of the soviet photography — Emanuil Yevzerikhin, Mikhail Ozerskii and Vasily Malyshev.
The exhibits are interesting both from historical and artistic standpoints.
The address of the Moscow House of Photography: Ostozhenka, 18 (near Kropotkinskaya metro station).
