In 2002, Kashirskaya GRES plans to carry out capital repairs at power units No. 3 and 5. Five other units will undergo current repairs.

By this time GRES-4 has completed the capital repair of unit No. 5 during which the generator was checked and repaired and some details on the boiler and turbine were replaced. In addition, the company has installed a new, modernized version of the turbine pump, which meets the latest requirements.

GRES-4 also conducted current repairs at units No. 2 and 6, checked and adjusted the main and auxiliary equipment. Fuel oil tanks and chimneys were also repaired.

At present, the company is working on power unit No. 3, repairing its turbine, generator, auxiliary equipment, replacing some parts of the boiler and repairing its electric filters. This work will help to increase the productivity and reliability of the power unit.

Under the 2002 repair campaign, GRES-4 plans to replace two fully amortized carriage turners. One new replacement has already been installed and is being tested.

In 2002, AO MOSENERGO allocated for the preparation of GRES-4 for the autumn/winter load peak 376 million rubles, which is 7% less than was originally scheduled. The expenditures had to be reduced due to the insufficient increase in electricity rates, which were introduced this spring.
