Engineers of the Privolzhskoye Production Department of Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) started operation of the new transformer oil recovery unit. For the first time the unit was used for the purposes of substation 110/35/10 kV Rovnoe substation in Rovinskiy district, Saratov region.
These units are designed for thermal vacuum drying, decontamination from impurities and degassing of transformer oil. The oil recovery process is carried out at the transformers, oil circuit breakers, high-voltage bushings and other oil-filled equipment.
The UVF-4000 unit was developed and produced in Saint-Petersburg. The unit was developed based on the suggestions provided by Saratov power engineers worded on the basis of similar equipment operation. Unlike earlier models, the unit is provided with increased capacity combined with lesser power consumption and stepped power control. Therefore, the unit is applicable for the purpose of the substations with limited auxiliary power. Besides, the unit is featured by simpler construction and maintainability.
Implementation of UVF-4000 will reduce both cost of oil-filled equipment and time taken by repair.
