AO MOSENERGO summarized the implementation of the Program for Capital Construction and Equipment Repairs in the first half of 2002

In the first six months of 2002, AO MOSENERGO has installed the following equipment in accordance with the capital construction plan:

  • 500 t-h power boiler at TEZ-11
  • 383 km of 0.4/6-10 kV power lines in the Moscow countryside
  • 1 km of heating lines
  • transformers with the total capacity of 7,000 kVA, etc.

In addition, in June, the Heating Grids of AO MOSENERGO launched substation City with two 63,000 kVA transformers.

In the first half of 2002, AO MOSENERGO spent on the implementation of the capital construction plan 2,091 million rubles, which is 44% of the amount allocated for this year. The most important objectives for the second half of the year are:

  • replacement of turbine no. 3 at TEZ-17
  • replacement of boiler no. 9 at TEZ-20
  • launch of Yuzhno-Izmailovskaya and Khapilovskaya pump sations;
  • laying of the cable line to substation City

During the first half of the year AO MOSENERGO repaired at its power stations 5 power units, 8 power boilers, 9 turbine generators and 8 water boilers. 9 transformers (accounting for 50% of scheduled works) underwent major repairs. The company repaired 14 synchronized compensators. Currently, AO MOSENERGO is repairing 4 power units, 9 power boilers, 5 turbine generators, 1 hydro-turbine and 9 water boilers. In total, in 2002 AO MOSENERGO plans to repair 14 power units, 24 power boilers, 22 turbine generators, 2 hydro-turbines and 20 water boilers. In addition, the company plans to conduct general repairs at 58 high-voltage substations. Currently, the works are being conducted at 36 substations. The company plans to overhaul 28 7,5 – 100 MVA synchronized compensators.

Heating grids of AO MOSENERGO replaced 38 km of heating lines, which accounts for 54.7% of the total volume. In total, the company plans to replace 70 km of heating lines.

By early July, AO MOSENERGO repaired 57 110-500 kV air switches. The company repaired 92 compressors. At 14 stations AO MOSENERGO repaired automated fire extinguishing systems. The company carried out 90% of maintenance works for 0,4-10 kV distribution grids and 93% of major repairs on 6-10/0,4 kV transformer substations.

Moscow Cable grids, a branch of AO MOSENERGO, has completed planned repairs of 0.4-10 kV and high-voltage 110-500 kV grids. The company also completed 50% of repairs for 0.4-10 kV cables. As a result, the number of damaged cables considerably decreased. The company replaced 58 overloaded transformers in transformer substations without reconstructing them. AO MOSENERGO also reconstructed 6 overloaded transformer substations, having replaced 12 transformers for similar units of higher capacity.

AO MOSENERGO has performed the following works on 110-500 kV cable lines:

- repaired 69 cable lines with damaged insulation

- conducted major repairs at 4 oil-feeding units

- rebuilt 12 220 kV cable lines at TEZ-29 (Ochakovo), having repositioned stopper couplings at rebuilt lines

- replaced damaged parts of 110 kV lines at Yelokhovskaya-Lefortovo and Mazilovo-Krylatskoye cable lines.

Traditionally, AO MOSENERGO focuses on the reliability of 110-220 kV grid which is the main line used to supply electricity to Moscow. The company has allocated funds to repair two 220 kV cable lines from TEZ-20 (Yuzhnaya) and TEZ-20 (Ochakovo).

Igor Goryunov summarized the progress in fulfilling the capital construction and repairs program, reporting that all works that were scheduled for the first half of the year have been fulfilled in full and on time. This will make it possible to properly prepare for the upcoming heating season and ensure the sustainable power supply in wintertime.
