A meeting was held today at the Headquarters of Gazprom concerning a solution of the problem of investment attractiveness of the projects related to natural gas supply to the RF regions. Alexander Ananenkov, the Acting Chairman of the Management Committee, presided at the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Vladimir Grachev, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee for environmental protection, representatives of the RF Energy Ministry, the RF Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Federal Energy Committee as well as by the Administration Deputy-heads of the Altai Territory, Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad and Ulianovsk districts.

Participants of the meeting discussed the topics of energy saving and gas utilization efficiency prospects, the price and tariff policy in the gas industry, major steps required to increase the investment attractiveness of the projects related to gas supply to the regions of the Russian federation.

The participants of the meeting made a decision to initiate elaboration of the Federal Program on gas supply network creation in the RF regions up to the year of 2010.
